FC Liefering and last year’s champions Blau-Weiß Linz parted goalless on Saturday afternoon in the top game of the second division.
Unlike in the previous games, the young bulls did not manage to impose their game on their opponents. The Linzers set the tone from the start, especially the former Kuchler Matthias Seidl repeatedly caused danger in front of the Lieferinger Tor. The team of trainer Rene Aufhauser seemed harmless, rarely came into the dangerous zone of the Stahlstädter. Only goalie Krumrey acted in normal form and had luck on his side when Tobias Koch hit the outside post. With the point, Liefering remains second in the table, five points behind leaders Austria Lustenau and has been unbeaten in eleven games. The Linzers are in fifth place, two points behind.
