Zayn Malik (28) and Gigi Hadid (26) are said to be going their separate ways with immediate effect. According to the “People” magazine various sources around the two stars have confirmed that they have been apart for a month. One possible reason for the separation: As it has now become known, the singer is said to have been violent towards the model’s mother. Malik vehemently denies the allegations.

As the US-American gossip site “TMZ” reports, Yolanda Hadid (57) accuses her daughter’s boyfriend of beating her. The ex-model known from the TV show “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” should even consider an advertisement.

Zayn Malik has now gone on the offensive against “TMZ”. “I definitely deny that I beat Yolanda Hadid,” says the former singer with boy band One Direction. “For my daughter’s sake, I decline to provide further details, and I hope Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and try to resolve these family problems privately.” So the Briton admits that there were dissonances with his partner’s mother. But he did not raise his hand.

In a longer statement on Twitter, Malik triesto explain the matter.

Malik says there was an argument “I had with a family member of my partner who walked into our house while my partner was away a few weeks ago.” In order to protect his 13-month-old daughter Khai from the public, he does not want to go into the allegations in more detail.

It is not clear from the tweet whether the incident happened before or after Zayn Malik and Gigi Habid split up. He speaks of several weeks, according to “TMZ” the alleged act of violence should have happened only last week.

The British singer with Pakistani roots and the US model, daughter of a Dutch woman and a Jordanian businessman, have been a couple since 2015.
