Quick recipe for vanilla crescents
Ingredients for about 80 pieces
For the croissants
- 1 knife saver baking powder
- 250 grams of flour
- 125 grams of ground almonds
- 200 grams of butter, cold and in pieces
- 125 grams of sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 packets of vanilla sugar
For the Decorate
- 50 grams of powdered sugar
- plus some flour for rolling out
preparation
Knead all the ingredients for the crescents well with the dough hook of the hand mixer or with your hands until a homogeneous dough is formed.
Halve the dough, flatten it with your hands and put it in the fridge for about half an hour.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees top/bottom heat (fan oven 160 degrees). Then roll the dough halves on a lightly floured work surface into rolls about the thickness of a pencil.
Cut small pieces four to five centimeters long from the rolls and shape them into croissants. Place vanilla crescents on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for about 10 minutes.
Toss the cooled croissants in powdered sugar and enjoy.
