Following its huge 2.0.1 patch, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is already preparing to welcome a new update. If it is less significant than the previous one, can we still hope for an end to the bugs for the DLC?
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet recently deployed its update 2.0.1 for the release of its extension The Buried Treasure of Zone Zero. A massive patch that not only brought fixes and other gameplay adjustments. It also improved certain game mechanics and even added some. And now we have a new update coming. What can we expect?
Patch Notes 2.0.2 for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Despite the numerous reworks in 2.0.1, the first Volume of the expansion, called “The Turquoise Mask”, still has big problems. The amount of bugs that were reported is reminiscent of the beginnings of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The framerate is not stable, some characters become misshapen, the camera sometimes disappears into the ground, in short, it is not the ideal gaming experience. Obviously, the players are not happy and they make it known. Will this future patch 2.0.2 be the symbol of new hope? Well, not really.
Here is the list of additions scheduled to arrive in October, without further details. As you’ll see, it’s not really about fixing major bugs.
- Fixed an issue where under certain conditions, even if you win against a trainer on the field, your victory may not be recorded. Therefore, you may not receive rewards for winning a certain number of battles against trainers, such as “Pokemon League employees in various parts of the Paldea region” or “Demon Masks in Kitakami Village” .
- When you transfer a special Pokemon from “Pokémon GO” to “Pokemon HOME”, the targeted Pokemon can be brought in even if it was already obtained in version 1.3.2 or earlier of Pokemon Scarlet and Purple. The problem, now fixed, made this action impossible.
The patch note mainly wanted to tackle this famous problem concerning the Pokemon HOME. Some trainers are also relieved to see this disappear. However, the expansion still suffers from a multitude of bugs which hinder the pleasure of playing. We are still waiting for an intervention from Game Freak to resolve this. This should happen in the coming weeks given the number of complaints from players.
New Pokemon are coming
If you don’t have the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, know that the developers have thought of you. Indeed, the studio often keeps trainers interested by revealing special events or new creatures to face. And soon, two Pokemon will join the Tier 4 and 5 star Teracristal raids. These are two versions of Pyrax: Rampe-Ailes for Scarlet, and Mite-de-Fer for Violet. They can be fought and captured from tomorrow, on September 22, until September 25, 2023. As a reminder, these famous raids are quite complex battles that we will carry out with several people (either with the AI or in cooperation with other players).
