Twitter demands redress after aborted takeover
Twitter sued Elon Musk to force him to complete the acquisition of the company, for an amount then estimated at 44 billion dollars.
Indeed, after several weeks of twists and turns, Musk had finally buried the takeover of Twitter and announced that it was abandoning the operation. Twitter responded immediately by filing a formal complaint. If it is almost certain that the social network no longer wishes to be bought out by Elon Musk, its leaders are demanding compensation while the share price has been oscillating for several weeks.
Elon Musk could be forced to pay a sum of one billion dollars to the blue bird platform for having derailed the sale, an amount provided for in the agreement signed by the two parties.

The two camps are therefore preparing their weapons and we learn today that Elon Musk and his teams of lawyers have summoned Jack Dorsey, the founder of Twitter and former CEO of the social network.
Jack Dorsey has today left all responsibilities at Twitter, but had publicly backed Elon Musk when the takeover was announced. The latter now demands that Mr. Dorsey provide all the documents in his possession concerning the takeover of the company, but also and above all information on the methods for calculating the number of fake accounts used by Twitter from January 2019 to today.
Elon Musk seems to want to find at all costs the flaw that would allow him to avoid paying the billion demanded by Twitter, in addition to possible compensation.
The first hearing is scheduled for October 17 before the Delaware State Court of Justice and there is no doubt that the trial should punctuate our winter.
