Ana Ivanović has launched her own skin care line. We met the popular Grand Slam winner in Berlin and asked what was important to her when she founded the company.

Ana Ivanović, 34, has already achieved a lot in her life. Rest on your laurels? Seems out of the question for the tennis star! Instead, she has devoted herself to a new project in recent years and recently launched her own skincare brand “Natural Performance”.

In Berlin, she is presenting the products together with Judith Williams, 51, whose support she was able to count on in developing the brand. Husband Bastian Schweinsteiger is also there and charmingly bursts into the interview with GALA.de. But then his wife, the main character of the day, answered the questions…

GALA: How did your personal experiences with beauty and skin care products influence the creation of Natural Performance? How much Ana is in there?

Ana Ivanović: It’s actually 100 percent ME. Of course, we teamed up with scientists and cosmetics experts to develop the formulations. But my experience and my vision are in the creams and the production, I was involved in every step and I’m proud to be able to say it like that. It was a bit of fine tuning until we found something that I love and hopefully everyone else will love too.

You have often stood in front of the camera with Basti for campaigns, will he also stand in front of the camera for your brand?

He is my biggest support and we stand behind each other in everything we do. I’m very glad he’s here today and he’s a big fan of the products, uses them too. I don’t know if he’ll be in front of the camera in the future, right now we’re particularly focusing on women. (laughs) But the products are for everyone, for women and men.

Do you share your beauty closet with your husband?

No, we each have our own side in the closet, mine is of course bigger. We have different favorites for the products. He uses the essential care and then prefers the pore tightening serum, I prefer to use the radiance and moisture serum. He didn’t think much about the different care steps beforehand and I had to explain to him which product he should use and how. Now he has a list to work through.

How has your skincare routine changed over time?

A lot of things were always too complicated or too difficult for me. I didn’t want to waste time. I always had that in mind when starting my own line, I wanted to create something really uncomplicated. In the testing phase we had so many different formulas, I dabbled with it every day, using the products morning and night and I liked it and could see a difference in terms of skin hydration. My skin feels softer and more vibrant since using the products daily.

How would you describe your style?

I think it has to be authentic and feel natural. I always follow my instincts. This means that I don’t always have to wear something that’s trending right now. I try to find my way, also in fashion, and to combine things. It’s similar with skin care, the most important thing for me is that it’s natural, good for the skin and with a high level of care.
