Caen: kebab attendance is exploding… thanks to Orelsan

Un unexpected, but undoubtedly welcome publicity stunt. In Caen, in Calvados, a kebab restaurant has been enjoying incredible popularity for some time, thanks to… Orelsan. The rapper is from the city, and on his very last opus, Civilization, in the bins since last November 19, he mentions in the text of the song “From the clean” the famous restaurant, Magic Beau Gosse. Since then, the affluence of the establishment has stopped growing, reports BFMTV, Wednesday, December 22.

“Five in the morning on the port, one last shot. It’s for my city, magic sauce, handsome kid ”, is it possible to hear Orelsan rapping on the third track of his new album. A phrase that allowed the restaurant, already well known to Caen, to see its attendance jump by about 30%, according to the words of Ahmad, one of the men at the head of this family establishment, at the chain of information. “A lot of people, with a lot of sympathy, come to see us and clearly tell us’ since Orelsan advises us to come here, we are coming”. It’s an unexpected advertisement, ”he confides.

A meeting more than twenty years old

He even mentions a “euphoria on social networks”. He estimates that the turnover of his restaurant has jumped by 30%: “And that’s crazy! ” Near West France, Ahmad says that “three out of four customers tell us about the song. Orelsan came on the very day of the album’s release ”. He even remembers that on November 19, his mobile phone and those of his brothers, who also work in the restaurant, “cracked” in front of the avalanche of messages they were receiving.

According to BFMTV, the opinions left at the establishment on Google also reflect this increase in attendance, some not hesitating to thank Orelsan “for this discovery”. Especially since the history which links the rapper to the family of Ahmad, whose parents opened Magic Beau Gosse fifteen years ago, goes back a long time. It was in 2000 that the artist met the family, when they owned a first kebab restaurant, La Panthère rose, near Caen station, reports West France.

And shortly before his new opus landed in stores, Orelsan had warned the family of Iranian origin: “He called us a month before the album’s release to tell us: ‘Guys, this will be heavy ”, says Ahmad on a daily basis. The rapper is reportedly even considering including the restaurant in one of his future clips.
