Celebrity Big Brother: First tears and a public coming out

The new "PBB" season has started with one show and four live performances. The residents already had a few surprises in store.

Germany's most prominent celebrity flat share has new residents: on Friday (August 7th) the eighth and longest season of "Celebrity Big Brother" started with a big live show. Four candidates have moved into the permanently monitored TV container in the program, while twelve other candidates have been allowed to set up in the fairy tale forest for the past two days – the new ones were welcomed anything but magical. For the next three weeks you will sleep on the floor, a pond will become a less luxurious pool alternative and a small wooden hut with a seating area and fur blankets will only provide a touch of "fairytale" cosiness.

The celebrities who had been drafted so far were allowed to take five important things – actually. A lucky ball drawn by the resident revealed a number that could also be lower and thus other items returned to the suitcase. Jasmin Tawil (38), the ex-wife of Adel Tawil (41), moved in as the first fairy tale fairy. The latter name has bothered the blonde for a long time. "I'm much more than the singer's ex. I don't want to be portrayed as a victim anymore." The former actress has made her way in New Zealand, Abu Dhabi and Hawaii in recent months and wants to prove in the house: "I'm more of a maker." She is joined by Sascha Heyna (45), a self-proclaimed frying pan seller, pop singer, flat-share unfit cleaning fanatic and blasphemy sister. It hit him particularly hard and he was only allowed to take one pair of shorts with him for general wellbeing.

Emmy Russ (21), "known" from "Beauty and the Nerd", is a typical girlie who loves "when everything revolves around me". Will the residents do her this favor? With her objects she could hardly choose between vibrator, make-up and sneakers – with Sascha she immediately awakened feelings of fatherliness. The blonde, on the other hand, wanted "a pretty one" in the forest – and then came Ikke Hüftgold (44). "You want Ballermann, now you get Ballermann", noted the loud verbal acrobat. Losing is not an option for the winner type. Two perfumes, razors, T-shirt and trousers went into the flat. Outside the house, Ikke Hüftgold has a special fan: colleague Lorenz Büffel (41) wants to support his "Ikkbrother" and his fan club, as the singer explained live in the studio.

Jenny Frankhauser (27) "has always been spontaneous". Therefore, it was no problem for the jungle queen of 2018 to replace Saskia Beecks (32), who withdrew her participation before the start. But luck was not on Frankhauser's side right from the start, she was not allowed to take any personal item with her into the fairytale forest. Social media star Udo Bönstrup (25), the funny guy from the Internet, "thinks he is the funniest" and describes himself as a community member. But: He also likes to mess with influencers who place questionable advertisements – he could possibly have the first topic of conversation with some women around the campfire …

Have you already decided on the season's lovers?

The modest Wimbledon winner Claudia Kohde-Kilsch (56) does not like the word legend and has already experienced many ups and downs in life, but now she is satisfied with herself and the world, she explained before moving in. "Mom don't run naked through the picture," was her son's announcement. The athlete naturally wants to fulfill this wish of her offspring in the candidate field. Unlike the next candidate: The "Love Island" womanizer Mischa Mayer (28), who is always looking for great love, wants to show himself as a loving guy with a big heart – and promises a lot more. "You will see everything, there are no taboos," declared "Betonmischa". "He's mine. He can sleep in my bed," Emmy immediately put out her claws. The Swiss "Bachelorette" and presenter Adela Smajic (27), who is still looking for the right man by her side, could compete with her.

Happy reunion

Scene DJ and actor Senay Gueler (44), bon vivant and at the same time a loyal family man, will, according to his own statement, have to fight in the house without music and cigarettes. In the forest, however, there was a happy reunion with Jasmin Tawil, who hadn't seen the DJ "for at least ten years". Will she be the camp mother? She cannot shock the "Big Brother" family with her family history: Kathy Kelly (57), who celebrated great musical successes with her extended family as the Kelly Family, faced her enthusiastic mist riders, who immediately started a Kelly Family hit, in a dirndl in front.

The forest round completed the tough but also very sensitive soap actress Elene Lucia Ameur (26), who was able to make an immediate impression as a house psychologist by attesting Jasmin Tamil "a great strength" of which she could be "very proud". The following day Tawil returned the favor with an open ear for the actress, who had previously suffered from bullying and psychological humiliation by a youth gang. In the end, the actress started to cry.

Tears and coming out

Jamsin Tawil could not hold back the first tears either. She had never been separated from her son for so long, she explained to her colleagues. In addition, the eleven "super loud characters" are a bit overwhelmed. "Every beginning is difficult," she said soberly. Sascha Heyna also came to tears when he first came out in public about his homosexuality and friend Markus. So far he has not wanted to talk about it because of his work in a very conservative genre. They have been together for 15 years, explained his partner Markus Adams during his visit to the studio.

In the fairy tale forest, Emmy Russ, who, as the chick of the group, chatted surprisingly openly about genitals, her alleged sex addiction or farts and thus made her roommates look wide, caused great astonishment. Even with a first shower unit, she earned looks from the men. "She is so young – and already so", stated Jasmin Tawil. The snore among the candidates, "Betonmischa" and Kathy Kelly, and lying on hard ground also caused excitement and a sleepless night. At least now, some of the candidates would like to see the luxury sector.

The record fairy tale troop is up

On the one hand, the match in the studio, in which the residents earned money for shopping in the supermarket that was established last season, provided a first change in the Märchenwald life. This was followed by the unveiling of the fairytale castle that fulfills all luxury wishes. Further competition for places in the luxury sector was not long in coming: Drag artist and "Queen of Drags" star Katy Bähm (27) moved into the house live and wants to stir up the residents as a princess without any level of embarrassment, but also as Burak Bildik show in person.

"The Biggest Loser" coach and martial artist Ramin Abtin (48) is looking forward to the adventure and experiment and naturally wants to win as an athlete. Michael Ballack's ex-wife, Simone Mecky-Ballack (44), got tips from her friend and "PBB" runner-up Claudia Effenberg (54) and hopes not to come across any know-it-alls and blasphemers in the house. The final whistle was set by the legendary commentator and "PBB" oldest member, Werner Hansch (81). He wanted to test whether he "can still keep up with the young colleagues". To his own disappointment, he doesn't have to prove himself for a long time in the fairy tale forest. Together with Kathy Kelly, Jenny Frankhauser, Sascha Heyna, Simone Mecky-Ballack and Ikke Hüftgold he is "allowed" to move into the fairy tale castle.
