Coronavirus in France: the results of this Tuesday, February 1


The situation tends to improve on the contamination front. Hospitalizations, however, remain high. The daily update on the Covid-19 epidemic in France, with figures from Public Health France and the Ministry of Health.

Contaminations

This Tuesday, February 1, 416,896 new cases were recorded in 24 hours according to Public Health France. The decline seems to be confirmed since a week ago, the country had recorded just over 500,000 contaminations.

Hospitalizations

Hospitalizations for Covid remain slightly up with a total of 32,894 patients currently in hospital with a Covid diagnosis (compared to 30,189 seven days ago and 32,374 the day before).

In critical care services, there were 3,751 patients on Tuesday, slightly more than the day before (3,700 patients) and a week ago (3,741).

Deaths

382 people have died in hospital in the past 24 hours, compared to 348 the day before. Since the start of the epidemic, 131,312 people have died from Covid.

The vaccination

54,003,768 people have received at least one injection (80.1% of the total population) and 52,748,008 are fully vaccinated (78.2% of the population).

Since the start of the recall campaign, 35,708,713 people have received a dose.
