The famous journalist celebrates a sad anniversary: that of the disappearance of his daughter, January 27, 1995. 26 years ago, Solenn had just celebrated his 19 years, a month earlier. The young lady was battling anorexia nervosa and had decided to suicide, by throwing himself under a metro train in Neuilly-sur-Seine. The latter had left a letter of farewell to her father in which she signed: "Thanks for everything but I don't like life. I want to be cremated and kept in a small box, but not thrown into the seaAlmost three decades later, the weight of grief always seems so intense to the writer.

Patrick Poivre d´Arvor pays tribute to his only daughter in a heartbreaking Instagram post on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. "PPDA" shares an old photo of him and a delighted little girl. She encircles her father's arms, himself smiling. He simply captioned "Solenn January 27, 1995".
