The share from Dean will come as a relief to some of his fans as the actor, who previously claimed Love Island contestants “haven’t been brought up well”, recently feared he had contracted coronavirus.

He shared his worries on his Instagram story after seeing government guidelines and symptoms of covid-19 in a daily TV update in March.

Dean shared a photo of the government update on his TV screen and said: “I haven’t been able to smell or taste for 5 days… oh S**t!!!!”

The former EastEnders star recently shared his hopes to return to the soap after being axed last year.

Speaking to the Daily Star in March, he said: “I had a meeting with the boss and they said, ‘The door is left open for Robbie and we will definitely see you in the future’. It will happen at some point. It’s just a case of when it happens. So I can’t complain about that.

“It’s nice to know. It’s a bit cliched to say it, but I have been associated with that show on and off for 27 years and that’s a big chunk of my life.”
