On Dinkum, players can buy basic tools and weapons. However, these elements break quickly and are less effective. Fortunately, it is possible to make better and more robust ones, like the copper ax (Copper Axe) or the copper pickaxe (Copper Pickaxe). In this new guide, we explain how to unlock and craft the copper pickaxe.
Unlock the copper pickaxe (Copper Pickaxe), how to do it?
In the first hours of play on Dinkum, players have no choice but to buy basic tools, such as the pickaxe (Pickaxe), the ax (Axe) or the net (Bug Net), from John. As said before, these items break, unfortunately, very easily and quickly. Thus, it is better to equip yourself with better tools, such as the copper pickaxe (Copper Pickaxe).
To unlock the copper pickaxe (Copper Pickaxe), it is absolutely necessary to have purchased the first level of Mining License, which Fletch sells for 250 Permit Points. By playing, mining multiple times, and getting past level 10 of this skill, you should get a message from Fletch in your mailbox. In this mail, Fletch tells you that you have unlocked level 2 of Mining License, which costs 1,000 Permit Points. Buy this new level.
From then on, you can make a copper pickaxe (Copper Pickaxe). To do this, make sure you have the required resources and materials (listed below) and head to the crafting table, positioned on the left in Fletch’s tent.
- 1 Basic Pickaxe
- If you don’t have one, visit John and buy one. It will cost you 1,200 Dinks.
- 2 Copper Bars
As a reminder, Dinkum was released in early access during the month of July 2022, on PC. The title is available on the Steam platform. According to the latest information shared by the creator of the game, James Bendon, Dinkum should arrive on consoles, later.
