The recovery in outstandings, already observed for several months, was confirmed in November with a volume of investments of 12.4 billion euros on these contracts (a record for a month of November) and a monthly net inflow of 2.3 billion euros.

Over eleven months, life insurance products will have collected 21 billion euros, more than three times that recorded over the entire year in 2020.

And in this period conducive to tax optimization, on the side of retirement savings plans (PER), subscriptions also recorded a higher (130,000).

Progress of units of account

Although the figures for December are not yet known, the French Insurance Federation expects 2021 to be one of the best years of the decade for life insurance contracts, with a probable record. investments in units of account.

To date, and in a context of low interest rates, unit-linked investments have represented 38% of outstandings. The return on euro funds, which fell to 1.3% in 2020, is expected to decline further this year.
