(Boursier.com) — Europlasma a specialist in treatment and hazardous waste, material recovery and decarbonization, announces that its subsidiary Inertam has signed a 7-year framework agreement with the Italian company Furia, which notably operates a waste collection platform hazardous materials with an annual capacity of 223,000 tonnes for dispatch to dedicated recovery channels.

Inertam and Furia have agreed to collaborate so that the Italian asbestos waste collected is transported to the Morcenx-la-Nouvelle treatment center in the Landes in order to be permanently destroyed by vitrification. Beyond the environmental and health reasons, the choice of vitrification for asbestos waste is part of a logic of circular economy since the by-product obtained, called Cofalit, will then be recovered as backfill of by-products. road layer.

Furia and Inertam are already working on examining a cross-border transport authorization between Italy and France for 500 tonnes of asbestos waste.
