On this day of the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII first of the name, the producer Yoshinori Kitase was asked about it at the turn of a live stream dedicated to The First Soldier, and his remarks were transcribed by VGC. He was pretty straightforward: the sequel should be shown in the first announcements in 2022, if there are no delays or unforeseen schedules by then.
