Fuchsia OS

Samsung would be convinced that Fuchsia OS is the perfect replacement for Android.

After years of rumors, Fuchsia OS has been made official and has even opened up to public contributions as well as third-party developers. The lack of news about it can raise concerns about a project that has stalled, especially since Google has launched an initiative in parallel for another still mysterious operating system.

Samsung fully on Fuchsia OS

But the development of Fuchsia OS seems to be taking its course without raising any particular fears among those mainly concerned. Samsung, which is actively participating alongside Google in the development of the operating system, is even confident about the idea of abandoning Android for Fuchsia OS, according to leaker Dohyun Kim.

However, such a change would not take place for several years. Bloomberg had also warned in 2018 that Fuchsia OS should be operational during the first half of the decade 2020, based on forecasts from Google.

Fuchsia OS would be, like HarmonyOS, designed to run on all connected devices, thus creating a more transparent ecosystem improving interoperability between different devices and experiences.
