The top model just doesn’t seem to age: Heidi Klum doesn’t look at her 48 years at all. She has now revealed part of her beauty recipe – namely her special diet secret. And best of all: anyone can easily do it!

You could almost think that the 48-year-old lives only on air and love, as one might suspect from the many snapshots of her and her husband Tom Kaulitz, 32, in love. But Heidi Klum’s diet secret is different and can be easily integrated into your own everyday life.

The magic formula for the great body of Heidi Klum is actually very simple: “In the morning I start with a smoothie and then I eat three main meals,” the top model reveals to Entertainment Tonight. And Heidi has another trick for the ultimate dream body: intermittent fasting!

“I always eat my last meal at 6 p.m. – together with my children,” continues the mum of four. An early dinner also helps to digest the food better, which has a positive effect on the body.

Heidi Klum does not follow a particular form of diet, as she further reveals in the interview. Nevertheless, she pays attention to high quality food and likes to prepare it herself at home: “I really cook a lot, because that way I know exactly what is in the meal and that fresh ingredients have been used.”

Of course, Heidi treats herself to a visit to her favorite restaurant every now and then. There is a specific reason why this is only an exception for her: “I think if you often eat out or order food, it can be a bit difficult with a healthy diet. You just don’t know exactly what has been processed.”

Intermittent fasting: what is it?

It is definitely one of the trend diets at the moment, and stars like Jennifer Lopez, 52, or Miranda Kerr, 38, love it: we’re talking about intermittent fasting. With this type of diet, you can choose between daily meal breaks of several hours or entire days of fasting. The 5: 2 and 16: 8 methods are particularly popular.

While with the 5: 2 method you eat normally five days a week and fasting on two days that are not consecutive, with the 16: 8 method you do without food for 16 hours and cover the calorie requirement in the remaining eight hours of the day .

Intermittent fasting has a positive effect on the sugar and fat metabolism and helps to maintain a normal weight. Another plus point: Lovers of intermittent fasting do not have to fear the yo-yo effect either, because it does not happen.
