Federal Foreign Minister Heiko Maas (54) has gone into quarantine again. The Foreign Office announced this Wednesday (November 4th). Within a few weeks, he came into contact with a person infected with the coronavirus for the second time.
"After a meeting with Foreign Minister Maas and State Minister Roth on Monday evening, a foreign delegation member was diagnosed with Covid-19. The Foreign Office was informed of this today," announced a spokesman for the Foreign Office. Foreign Minister Maas, Minister of State Roth and the employees involved went into quarantine "on an official doctor's order", it said. Maas will spend the quarantine again in a house in Brandenburg. A first PCR test was negative this Wednesday. The persons concerned have been informed.
On September 23, the Foreign Minister had already gone into quarantine in a house in Brandenburg because of the corona infection of a bodyguard in accordance with the Infection Protection Act.
