Jan Fedder: His cult car brings in 61,201 euros for the Michel

Jan Fedder's former favorite car has been auctioned for a good cause. The Ford Explorer brought in over 60,000 euros.

Jan Fedder's (1955-2019) favorite car has been auctioned for a good cause at "ebay Charity". The Ford Explorer – not only the actor's last car in the "Großstadtrevier", but also his private car – brought in 61,201 euros in the end. The proceeds will go to the "Lifebuoys for Michel" campaign, which is intended to support the famous St. Michaelis Church in Hamburg with donations.

"When I heard that the Michel was in need due to Corona and started the call for donations 'Lifebuoys for the Michel' to keep the business going, I decided to help," said Fedder's widow Marion about the campaign. The car, which Fedder himself affectionately called "Bronko", played a major role in his life. In addition to the car, the original vehicle registration with the registered owner Jan Fedder, photos from the shoot, an edition of the biography "Immortal" and an autograph card were also auctioned.

Jan Fedder died on December 30, 2019 at the age of 64 after a long illness. For almost 30 years he played the police officer Dirk Matthies in the ARD crime series "Großstadtrevier".
