Maye Musk is at home in the fashion world. She is particularly fond of the look of the sixties. How good that it is making a comeback.

"With the pandemic, model jobs have come to a standstill," says model Maye Musk (72, "One woman, one plan") in an interview with the news agency spot on news. Photo shoots would still take place here and there, but "with minimal teams", masks would be worn and people would keep "apart" as best they could.

It is the variety that the mother of Elon Musk (49) and two other successful children appreciate so much about their job. "One day a photo shoot for makeup or clothes, another day the catwalk. Every style is different. I never get bored," she says. The 72-year-old has seen and lived a number of trends. "There have been a lot of changes in fashion and it's hard to stay in trend."

Dramatic appearances with bell-bottoms and false eyelashes

Personally, she particularly liked the fashion of the 1960s. "I loved the 1960s with bell-bottoms and dramatic make-up. Fake eyelashes every day," Musk fondly recalls. At that time she "sewed some of her clothes herself and changed the cuts so that they looked like the clothes in the fashion magazines". The fact that bell-bottoms are fashionable again today should definitely play into the hands of the model.
