On December 11, the election of Miss France 2022 took place on TF1 and a new controversy emerged with it: the hairstyle of Amber Andreu, Miss Aquitaine. She explains herself.

Each year facing the election of Miss France, controversies are unfortunately never far away with social networks. This year, it is the hairstyle of one of the candidates that made a lot of talk about her. Miss Aquitaine, having an afro cut, appeared on set with slicked back, slightly wavy hair. There followed a wave of discontent with viewers on social media shouting “sabotage”. In fact, Ambre Andreu, Miss Aquitaine, recently spoke on Instagram and in the corridors of the magazine She to respond to the controversy of its so-called cut “sacked ” on social networks.

For the 5th runner-up of Miss France 2022, it is only a “combination of circumstances “ as she explains on Instagram. The Miss claims not to have chosen this haircut and not to have paid attention to her hairstyle which had lost in volume during the show, too busy concentrating on the show she was producing.

Rules to follow and tight timing

“The instructions were to have the hair untied and then tied back”, she says on her Instagram account. For the 22-year-old, her goal was simply to reproduce a hairstyle that she had already worn during the trip to Reunion, during the photo shoot in a swimsuit. For her, all this is only due to a question of timing, and not because of the lack of talent of her hairdresser: “I would have liked to do my finger coils or whatever but we didn’t have the time and my hair needs time. 3 minutes to change AND make me a low bun with my texture was complicated… “. According to her, the lack of hairdressers for textured hair also had an impact on the quality of her hairstyle: “There was only one hairdresser on site for textured hair, whereas there were five or six of us who had that nature the entire part before the fifteen “passed.

What is certain is that Ambre Andrieu wishes to turn the page on this unfortunate controversy and prefers to conclude his message on a good note: “I receive all your messages of love and celebration of textured hair and I join you (…) you all supported me and I arrived at a beautiful place: 5th runner-up. Thanks again”.
