Murder of Lola: in Fouquereuil, family cradle, a tribute to the young girl in preparation

Lola’s family has found refuge in Fouquereuil, in Pas-de-Calais. A homecoming in the small town of Hauts-de-France, family cradle. Indeed, the father of the 12-year-old girl, whose body was found in a trunk in Paris on Friday, is from there. On Friday October 21, a tribute is scheduled to take place from 5:30 p.m. and a book of condolences will also be made available.

Devastated by the savagery to which their granddaughter was subjected, Joann and Delphine isolated themselves at their grandmother’s, in a small house set back from one of the main streets of the village. Gérard Ogiez, the mayor, met the couple at length on Monday evening. He says he was impressed by the dignity and courage of the parents plagued by unanswered questions.

“What reasons to carry out a massacre as we can know it now without having details of what we hear more and more… No, they don’t understand, but they are very courageous. I didn’t think the find at this stage of behavior”, he confides at the microphone of Europe 1.

“They do not understand”

A couple who claim to have never had the slightest dispute with this Dhabia B., a 24-year-old Algerian, the main suspect. “They don’t even know this person,” explained Gérard Ogiez. “The only time they saw it was on the video. They told me they didn’t understand.”

Without ties to Paris, Joann and Delphine would have decided to return to settle in Fouquereuil. Gérard Ogiez ensures that everything will be done to support this couple. A solidarity that is also expressed in the village. “We are all affected by what happened,” says a resident. “We are going to do what is necessary. And then we are going to support them, be present for them.”

Friday afternoon, the inhabitants are called to come and pay homage to the little victim at the communal center of the village of Fouquereuil.
