The ingredients for this recipe

For 2 to 3 people

  • 2 to 3 servings of pasta
  • 2 yellow onions
  • 100 ml of liquid cream
  • 60 ml dry white wine
  • 40 ml balsamic vinegar
  • 30 g of parmesan
  • 30g butter
  • Fresh thyme
  • Salt pepper
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh parsley

The preparation steps for this recipe

  1. In a frying pan, heat the oil and butter over medium heat. Brown your sliced ​​onions. Salt. Cook covered for about 5 minutes.
  2. Then remove the lid and fry over very low heat for 20 to 40 minutes, depending on your time.
  3. While your onions are caramelizing, heat the water for the pasta and add it. Don’t forget to keep about 2 ladles of cooking water to thicken the sauce later.
  4. Once your onions are soft, return to high heat and deglaze with the vinegar and white wine. Then add the thyme then salt and pepper.
  5. Pour in the previously reserved cooking water then the cream. Add the parmesan and chopped parsley.
  6. Remove the thyme sprigs and allow to boil. Your sauce should thicken. Now add the pasta, mix and serve hot with parmesan.

How to accompany this recipe?

You can obviously eat this pasta like that, because it is delicious. If you want to add protein, then don’t hesitate to add a chicken escalope or even a salmon steak. If you have tofu, that’s also possible. Good tasting.
