In the new Munich “Polizeiruf 110” Stephan Zinner can be seen again as a co-investigator. On top of that. He is currently filming a new series.

In the Munich “Police call 110: The light that the dead see” (May 15, 8:15 p.m., the first) with Commissioner Elisabeth “Bessie” Eyckhoff (Verena Altenberger, 34) is the Bavarian actor, cabaret artist and musician Stephan Zinner (47) again as co-investigator Dennis Eden. A third joint case is being planned, as spot on news learned from Bayerischer Rundfunk. “Verena Altenberger is expected to shoot her sixth case – together with Stephan Zinner – in the fall,” says the broadcaster.

“Heaven, Lord, Sacrament” by cult director Franz Xaver Bogner

And there is more exciting TV news about the former Nockherberg star – from 2004, Zinner embodied the CSU politician Markus Söder (55) in the traditional singspiel on the occasion of the strong beer tapping and announced his departure in autumn 2021. Because since May 9th (until July 21st) he has been shooting a new series with cult director Franz Xaver Bogner (73) in and around Munich. “Himmel, Herrgott, Sakrament” is the name of the six-part series and it follows successful formats such as “Family Meier” (1981-1983), “Irgendwie und Sowieso” (1986), “Café Meineid” (1990-2003) or “München 7” ( 2003-2011).

“Himmel, Herrgott, Sakrament” is based on the non-fiction book of the same name by Pastor Rainer Maria Schiessler (61), who heads the Catholic parish of St. Maximilian in Munich. “Schießler is firm in his faith, but also openly criticizes the Catholic Church,” says the station’s start of shooting message. The screenplays for the series were created based on his book by Bogner, Marcus Pfeiffer (“Beckenrand Sheriff”) and Stefan Betz (52, Munich-“Tatort”).

That’s what the series “Heaven, Lord, Sacrament” is about

After happy years as a pastor in the country, Hans Reiser (Zinner) takes over a problem congregation in Munich: His new church is utterly empty and leaving the church is the order of the day. But Reiser wants to change that and fill the community with life again with his cosmopolitan, people-oriented manner. He also relies on unconventional methods. Pastor Reiser quickly became acquainted with the single, separated young mother Lisa Kirchberger (Anne Schäfer, 43), who actually had little to do with the church.

Pastor Reiser soon had his first successes. The cardinal (Erwin Steinhauer, 70), who wants to work with him to win back people’s trust in the church, finds his protégé’s zeal for reform always going too far. Although Pastor Reiser himself sometimes doubts his path and even his faith, he doesn’t give up…

In addition to Zinner, Schäfer and Steinhauer, the cast includes Andreas Bittl, Sigi Zimmerschied and Franz-Xaver Brückner.

The broadcast is planned for 2023 on BR Fernsehen and in the BR Mediathek.

Stephan Zinner also in the cinema

And you can’t get past Stephan Zinner in the cinema this summer either. The new Eberhof crime thriller “Guglhupfgeschwader” starts on August 4th in the cinemas. Stephan Zinner has played Niederkaltenkirchen butcher Simmerl in the crime comedy series since “Dampfnudelblues” (2013).
