The Sussexes announce two new Netflix projects

In the future, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will dedicate themselves to two topics close to their hearts on Netflix: the fine life and the sport of polo.
After their great success with the documentary series “Harry & Meghan”, the next projects that Prince Harry (39) and Duchess Meghan (42) will tackle for the Californian streaming service Netflix have now been announced. Accordingly, an as yet untitled series curated by Duchess Meghan will “celebrate the joys of cooking, gardening, entertainment and friendship.” the US industry magazine “Variety” citing the official description of the streaming project.
Duchess Meghan’s new lifestyle brand
This fits in with Duchess Meghan’s lifestyle brand “American Riviera Orchard”, which was launched just a few weeks ago according to a report by People magazine In the future, it will sell goods such as small kitchen appliances, spices, tableware and food products such as wine, honey, dried fruits, coffee, tea and sauces, but also sweets such as biscuits. Gardening tools are also said to be part of the “American Riviera Orchard” range, which largely corresponds to the description of Meghan’s upcoming Netflix series.
Prince Harry devotes himself to polo on Netflix
Meghan’s husband Prince Harry is now considered an enthusiastic polo player. A second upcoming Netflix series is intended to shed light on the fascinating world of this sport. It is intended to offer viewers “unprecedented access to the world of professional polo,” as the show description says.
The project, which is also currently untitled, will be created primarily at the US Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida. Polo is a sport that is “known primarily for its aesthetics and social scene,” as the description of the Netflix series says.
Can the Sussexes build on their great success with “Harry & Meghan”?
Both shows are currently in the early stages of production, so a release on Netflix will probably take some time. Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan had a great success on the streaming service in December 2022 with the very personal documentary series “Harry & Meghan” and made headlines around the world.
Other Netflix projects by the Sussexes included “Invictus Games: Invincible at Heart,” about the Invictus Games for war-disabled soldiers launched by Prince Harry, and the interview series “Live to Lead.” However, these two formats did not come close to the success of “Harry & Meghan”.
