Prince Harry broke off contact when things got “very serious very quickly” with Meghan

Usain Bolt and Prince Harry were once good friends. When the British royal met his current wife, however, the contact broke off. The sprinter now reports that in an interview.
When Prince Harry, 37, met actress Meghan Markle, 40, many people around him were skeptical. His quick love with the American even led to a break with his brother after Prince William, 39, voiced his concerns and advised him not to rush into anything. But not only between him and his family, the relationship with his current wife seems to have torn a gap, a good friendship apparently also broke.

That Usain Bolt, 35, and Prince Harry are completely on the same wavelength was clearly evident not least in 2012 during their friendly race at the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica. The Jamaican sprinter and the British royal fooled around on the running track and posed in good spirits for the photographers.

A close friendship developed between the two. Usain even hoped to organize the bachelorette party for the prince. But nothing came of it. As Harry and Meghan’s relationship grew closer, their relationship with his buddy seemed to cool off. “I think it got very serious very quickly,” the 35-year-old explains to “The Sun” about the love of the duke couple. Harry is enjoying his married life and has left his old life behind, he shows himself understandingly.
Still, he seems to miss his old friend. “I haven’t spoken to him in a while, but I’d like to keep in touch,” says Usain Bolt.

After their first meeting in Jamaica, the two men maintained their friendship with funny messages on Twitter, among other things. In 2016 Harry challenged the top athlete to another race. After announcing his engagement to Duchess Meghan in 2017, Usain promised the Royal to organize three stag and hen parties for him.

It’s not supposed to be the only friendship Prince Harry has left behind in his new role as husband and father. In the past it has already been reported that the relationship with several people in his inner circle has cooled after he had met the former “Suits” actress. This also reportedly includes his college buddy Tom “Skippy” Inskip and PR guru Astrid Harbord. According to media reports, his future wife is said to have been concerned that some of his friends might have a bad influence on Harry. “She doesn’t want any kind of temptation to get in his way while they focus on raising a family,” a friend told Express at the time.
