In a bonus episode of the series “The Me You Can’t See” Prince Harry tells how he dealt with Duchess Meghan’s suicidal thoughts.

Prince Harry (36) continues to speak openly about the effects of mental illness. In a bonus episode of the Apple + TV series “The Me You Can’t See”, which was published on Thursday evening, he also tells US talk show host Oprah Winfrey (67) about the suicidal thoughts of his wife, Duchess Meghan (39). I’m a little ashamed of the way I dealt with it, “he had previously confessed.

He is now more confident when dealing with people who are thinking about ending their own life. But Prince Harry also knows: “So many people are afraid of being at the listening end of this conversation because they don’t feel they have the right tools to give the right advice.” It is precisely to these people that the Duke of Sussex advises: “Listen, because listening and being part of this conversation is without a doubt the best first step you can take.”

Meghan didn’t want to live anymore

Duchess Meghan had told Prince Harry in 2019 that she wanted to kill herself just before the couple went to an event at the Royal Albert Hall. “We hugged briefly because of the system we were in and the responsibilities and duties we had, but then had to change to jump into a convoy with a police escort and head to the Royal Albert Hall for a charity event drive, “he remembered the stressful moment. “Then we stepped into the flash of flashlights and pretended everything was fine.”

On the series, Prince Harry also revealed how therapy has helped him deal with his mental health problems and “break the cycle”. He also confessed that he would not have had a future with Meghan if he hadn’t gone to therapy to “fix himself”. And he shared how he wanted to leave the royal family before finally doing it. He regrets not having done it earlier. He also couldn’t help a swipe at the Royals when he alluded to the “shame” they felt about his mental health problems.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have been married since May 2019. More than a year ago they resigned from all royal offices and duties and moved to California with their son Archie (2). They are expecting a daughter in summer.
