Marriage on trial? Friend Benedkte shares private photos from Paris

For more than three years, Prince Nikolai and Benedigte Thoustrup have been a couple. Prince Joachim’s son and the entrepreneur’s daughter have been studying in Paris for a few months. Private snapshots from the city of love show how relaxed the two of them enjoy their life together far away from home.
In Paris, Prince Nikolai, 22, and Benedigte Thoustrup get to know each other all over again. The couple stays in France for a semester abroad and spends as much time together as possible. A “marriage on trial”, the Danes even secretly rumor. The two don’t yet live under one roof there. “Prince Nikolai and Benedict Thoustrup live separately in Paris. The decision was made for practical reasons,” said Helle von Heldenrath Lövgreen, the press spokeswoman for Countess Alexandra von Frederiksborg, 57, mother of Nikolai, in September 2021. But the two seem to enjoy every free minute together, as Benedict’s postings on Instagram document.
Prince Nikolai: With Benedicts he conquers the city of love
In the private photos, which appear again and again on the student’s Instagram channel, the couple is happy and relaxed. “December days in beautiful Paris,” wrote Benedict two weeks ago about some photos showing delicious food, good friends and the Eiffel Tower – and her Nikolai, who only allowed himself to be photographed from behind.
Relationship with prospect?
There are good prospects that Bene, as her nickname is, suggests with her impressions: After three years of relationship, your love for Nikolai seems to be stronger than ever – and the heavenly backdrop of the metropolis is probably good for both of them. The view from her “small studio”, which she shared with her community at the beginning of December, makes you think of cozy moments together on the parapet of your French balcony with your loved one.
Already three months ago Benedikt uploaded a blurry photo that shows her laughing happily with Nikolai in a restaurant. A somewhat shaky impression of firm intentions?
Nikolai has to go back to Copenhagen soon
The two are in love, very much if the photos are to be believed. A shared future? Who knows? Both are still young and are preparing for their professional careers during their studies. Perhaps after their return to Copenhagen they will take the next step and finally move in together. The way would be free for a common nest. Nikolai sold his hometown condo before moving to Paris. Benedikt, who previously also had an apartment in the Danish capital and officially lives there with her sister, will keep her – at least for the time being.
In any case, Nikolai will soon have to say goodbye to his carefree life in Paris. He is scheduled to return to Denmark at the end of January 2022. It is not known how long his girlfriend will stay in her apartment in the historic Marais district in the 4th arrondissement. A long-distance relationship, however, could probably no longer shake this young love at this point in time.
