Prince William and his children Prince George and Princess Charlotte helped run a half marathon at the Queen’s Norfolk estate.

Great Britain celebrated Father’s Day on June 21: Prince William, 39, spent the day in a half marathon held on the grounds of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II’s (95) estate, Sandringham in Norfolk. But what would a Father’s Day be without children? And so his two eldest, Prince George (7) and Princess Charlotte (6), accompanied him to the event that took place the day before his 39th birthday.

Together the trio helped with the countdown of the race and then cheered on the runners, as the “Daily Mail” reports.

“Happy Father’s Day”

The mother of the two, William’s wife Duchess Kate (39), and their youngest son, Prince Louis (3), were not at the sports event. But they can be seen in the little clip that William and Kate did posted on their Instagram account. A picture collage appears with the words “Happy Father’s Day” (German: “Happy Father’s Day”), on which four fathers of the royal family can be seen.

The first photo shows the late Prince Philip (1921-2021) with his wife, the Queen, along with their great-grandchildren George, Charlotte, Louis and four other great-grandchildren. Archie (2), the son of William’s brother Prince Harry (36) and his wife Duchess Meghan (39) – daughter Lili was born after Philips’ death is not there.

The next photo is Kate with her father Michael Middleton (71) on their wedding day in April 2011.

The third photo shows Prince Charles (72) with his sons William and Harry lying casually on the grass in front of a Scottish property.

The last picture shows William in uniform with his three children snuggling close to him.

The Queen also remembers two fathers on Father’s Day

Queen Elizabeth II also posted a photo on Father’s Day on their social media channel. You can see her and her husband, Prince Philip, who died of old age at Windsor Castle on April 9th. The two had four children together.

In the black and white photo, however, is her own father, King George VI. (1895-1952), to see. The three adults beam at the little laughing Prince Charles, who is sitting on an animal sculpture.
