Queen Elizabeth II has left Windsor Castle for Norfolk. The monarch visits her property in Sandringham.

Queen Elizabeth II (95) has been sighted in Sandringham according to British media reports. It is said to be the first time she has visited her Norfolk property since her husband Prince Philip (1921-2021) passed away in April. The monarch is said to have flown by helicopter from Windsor Castle to Sandringham on Friday.

Photos, which among other things published “The Sun”, show the Queen behind the wheel of an off-road vehicle at her property. After Prince Philip largely withdrew from the public eye in 2017, he spent a lot of time in Sandringham. Most of his belongings are said to be there. He spent his days in Norfolk reading history books and biographies, painting watercolors, and receiving friends and family, according to media reports.

Does the Queen check on her horses?

Last September, the Queen was in Sandringham with Philip, then the couple went back to Windsor Castle in corona isolation. The 95-year-old is supposed to stay in Norfolk until the beginning of the week, one reason for her visit could be her horse breeding.
