Are you in the mood for something sweet, but you don’t want to turn on the oven at these temperatures? Then we have just the right thing for you – without any oven heat.

It should be cool, refreshing and simply a tasty change on a summer afternoon. What goes better than a treat from the fridge? You only need three ingredients for our cold no-bake biscuit cake. It serves as a refreshing snack and can be varied in many ways. We explain our favorite version to you.

You will need this for the biscuit cake

Ingredients:

  • 12 American cookie biscuits or vegan: Oreo biscuits
  • 500 g dark chocolate (preferably in drops)
  • 400 g condensed milk or milk substitute

Instructions: The no-bake cake recipe succeeds so quickly

  1. Chop the cookies into small pieces. You can also place them in a ziplock bag and gently crush the cookies with an empty glass bottle (or similar weight).
  2. Combine the chocolate with the condensed milk (or milk substitute) and melt. You can either use a water bath or soften the mixture in the microwave on a low setting. Stir occasionally so that nothing burns.
  3. Once the chocolate is completely melted, you can mix it with the cookie pieces.
  4. Pour the chocolate mixture into a 20 x 20 cm mold lined with baking paper.
  5. Put the mixture in the fridge for about two hours and let it cool down completely.
  6. Now cut the mass into bite-sized pieces and enjoy your creation! You can eat the pieces for several days.

Instead of cookies, you can also use fresh ingredients like raspberries, orange wedges or blueberries – or add them in addition to the cookie crunch. Also delicious: A simple chocolate mix with some fresh rosemary or some mint – or the orange version mixed with some chili. The possibilities are almost endless. The best thing to do is try it yourself. To make the small pieces of cake even prettier, you can sprinkle a few grated coconut or brittle over them.
