A serious accident occurred on Friday afternoon in St. Martin am Tennengebirge. A fully occupied car came off the road for reasons unknown and crashed into a ditch. The vehicle overturned and remained on the embankment, directly on a stream, on the roof. Since it was suspected that a person was trapped, the water rescue was alerted. One person was seriously injured in the accident and had to be flown to the hospital in Schwarzach by rescue helicopter.
Three other occupants of the car also suffered injuries. In addition to the Red Cross and water rescue, the fire brigade and police were on duty.
