For several seasons now, our spring and summer shoes have been one thing above all: comfortable. And the trend continues. In the upcoming warm season it will be even more comfortable because we simply wear our slippers on the street. Fashionistas lead the way: mules and clogs from Birkenstock and Co. can look so stylish.
Mules – colloquially also known as slippers – will find their way onto the streets next spring and summer. What our parents wore in the 70s is making a comeback. While we used classic sandals with straps in previous seasons, the toe section will remain closed in summer 2022. The advantage: The It shoe can withstand even small summer showers!
Mules and slippers are making their way onto the street
We can already spot the mules on the feet of trend-conscious fashionistas. With thick knit socks, they can be worn in good weather, even at temperatures below 20 degrees. However, they are a special eye-catcher with bare legs.
Spain’s style queen Gala Gonzalez, for example, wears the classic version made of rough suede with a yellow blazer and Bermuda shorts, Sarah from “This is Jane Wayne” wears her suede version with jeans and a knit sweater with strawberry embroidery.
With her luxury variant made of felt with a colorful pattern by JW Anderson with gray socks and bare legs, Lucy Williams triggers an absolute must-have feeling in us.
Slippers can even be chic
The mules make a super cool impression on the beach, at the bathing lake or on a casual stroll through the city, but they can also be used in other ways! Chic. From old slippers to it-pieces with elegant flair – the right styling makes it possible. In smooth black leather, the shoes look completely different, even competing with loafers and ballerinas.
The Munich blogger Anna Aborisovna wears her mules with a black flattering dress with a waist belt and thus shows a completely new side of the casual shoes.
Mules are a matter of taste, no question. The biggest advantage that the casual footwear offers: We can say goodbye to nasty blisters on our heels once and for all!
