(Boursier.com) – Slight lull on the inflation front in France. According to the provisional estimate by INSEE, consumer prices would increase by 0.2% in December, after + 0.4% in November. Over one year, inflation should reach 2.8%, as in the previous month. The prices of manufactured goods and food should accelerate markedly. Tobacco prices would be stable as in November and those of energy and services would slow, specifies INSEE. Harmonized to European standards, inflation should increase by 3.4%, as in November. Over one month, prices should increase by 0.2%, after + 0.4% the previous month. The consensus expected 0.4% and 3.5% respectively.
