Film and royal fans can get a picture of Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana in a teaser trailer for “Spencer”.

Kristen Stewart (31) transforms into Princess Diana (1961-1997) in the first, a little more than one minute teaser trailer for the upcoming film “Spencer”. The emotional clip shows several scenes from the eagerly awaited new film by Pablo Larrain (45).

In the short video, Sally Hawkins (45), who can be seen in a previously unnamed role, sits next to Stewart. “They know everything,” says Hawkins, to which Diana, played by the 31-year-old, can be heard for the first time – and answers with a cryptic “Don’t do it”. In addition to the two, Jack Farthing (35, Prince Charles), Timothy Spall (64) and Sean Harris (55) also play.

A weekend at Christmas

The preparations for a festive meal are also shown in the dramatic trailer. The film is set at the Sandringham House country estate during the Christmas holidays in the early 1990s – a weekend when Diana is said to have decided to get a divorce. The film production company Neon points out that “Spencer” is an idea of ​​what might have happened during those days.

“Spencer” is to celebrate its premiere in early September at the 78th Venice International Film Festival. The film will start in US cinemas on November 5th.
