Valve has chosen to review its calendar for promotional periods on its online store. Thus, a specific event will be abandoned from next year.

However, the American firm will change its habits in 2023. Thanks to a press release, we learn that the Lunar New Year sales will not be renewed at the beginning of next year. And there is a good reason for that!

Thus, the Lunar New Year event, which took place around the beginning of February, will be replaced by annual spring sales. The first edition will be held March 16-23, 2023. Valve says this addition “ was a very popular request from [sa] community of developers and editors “. In addition, many criticized the too close proximity between the Lunar New Year sales and those of the winter sales. This new calendar will therefore make it possible to space out these different periods.
But before that, remember that the fall sales will take place on Steam from November 22 to 29, 2022. Then, the winter discounts are scheduled from December 22 to January 5. Appointments are made!
