They belong to summer like sun and heat: sweat stains make life difficult for us. Here are a few tips on how to stay cool.

They are an annoying evil that accompanies almost every one of us through the summer: sweat stains can really spoil a good mood in summer. These home remedies and the right choice of materials for your outfit can help.

Cast off!

If you stick to the motto “less is more” when choosing clothes in summer, you should work up a sweat. Even the scarcest material is of no use if it is the wrong one. Linen is ideal for an airy, light and, above all, sweat-free summer outfit. The textile fiber is the ultimate summer fabric because the weave keeps the heat out. Due to its nature, the fabric absorbs sweat very well, and damp areas dry quickly. The fiber itself is coarse and is particularly suitable for trousers, skirts, shirts but also blouses. The only disadvantage: crease alarm! Sit down once and your trousers look like an accordion.

bamboo

Bamboo in the garden, bamboo as decoration and now also bamboo in the wardrobe. Admittedly, textiles made from sweet grass have had a rather difficult time on the German fashion market. When it comes to shirts and skirts, you can find it online. The advantage, especially in summer: bamboo as a material absorbs even more moisture than cotton.

silk

For those who like something finer and more elegant, silk is the right choice. The fabric is really lightweight and lies cool on the skin, so long sleeves are no problem either. But since it is an animal product – silk is obtained from the cocoons of the silkworm – the material is less absorbent than linen. Real no-go fabrics when it is hot, on the other hand, are synthetic fabrics such as polyester, nylon and, of course, fleece. But let’s be honest, who would voluntarily put on nylon tights at 30 degrees in the shade?

Apple cider vinegar and wheatgrass help prevent sweating

If you don’t want to rely on the right choice of materials alone, you can also use simple home remedies. Apple cider vinegar, for example, not only regulates the pH of the skin, but also contracts the sweat glands. Simply dab the affected areas with a washcloth before going to bed, leave it on at night and wash off in the morning.

Wheatgrass is a bit more unusual. It is high in vitamin B, which regulates body temperature and reduces excessive sweat production. For use, stir a teaspoon of wheatgrass powder into 200 ml of juice or water every day.
