The Chinese Nubia is about to unveil its Red Magic 7 Pro, a new gaming smartphone that will bet everything on power.
After the Red Magic 6 and Red Magic 6S Pro launched last year, Nubia is preparing to do it again with a new gaming smartphone: the Red Magic 7 Pro. Launched in China in February, the machine is about to experience an international release. We learn that the brand has started to send invitations to specialized media for the official presentation of a new product, described as a “gaming beast”. It will be, according to all logic, the Red Magic 7 Pro. We knew that the latter was to arrive with us during the second quarter of 2022, and obviously we are there. The presentation date is set for April 12, at 1:00 p.m. metropolitan France time.
As often, the invitation card remains discreet on the design of the device or its technical data sheet, but whatever, its Chinese release has already informed us of the essential points.
A new smartphone designed specifically for gamers
In China, Nubia’s Red Magic 7 Pro was announced with a 6.8-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) AMOLED display. Beneath this slab pulsates a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, coupled with 8, 12 or 16 GB of RAM depending on the model chosen. Same dynamic for storage with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB or 1TB options available.
On the photo side, the device is a little more modest, with three back cameras: a main sensor of 64 Mpx, an ultra wide-angle of 8 Mpx and a macro lens with 2 Mpx sensor. On the front, there is a 16 Mpx selfie camera hidden under the screen. The set is finally powered by a 5000 mAh battery compatible with 135 W charging. Wickedly fast, it is supposed to allow you to find a full charge in just 15 minutes on the mains.
For gaming purposes, the Red Magic 7 Pro also relies on a more advanced dissipation system than traditional smartphones. In particular, there is a small fan intended to cool the SoC during prolonged gaming sessions.
