the number of patients in intensive care continues to drop in France

The number of Covid-19 patients in intensive care services continued to decrease, Friday, April 30, for the fourth day in a row, to less than 5,700 people, according to figures from Public Health France.

Critical care services (which bring together resuscitation, intensive care and continuous monitoring) had 5,675 patients on Thursday, including 323 admitted in the last twenty-four hours, thus returning to almost the level of April 6. In one week, the number of patients in “sheaves” fell by some 300 people.

The number of Covid-19 patients at the hospital also continued to decline, to 28,930, against 29,487 the day before. In the past twenty-four hours, 271 Covid-19 patients have died in hospital.
