The OnePlus Open smartphone test has joined our comparison

For its first folding smartphone, OnePlus hits the mark. The manufacturer delivers a model with two beautiful displays integrated into a case with a carefully designed design, solid performance, long battery life and a convincing photo component, at least for its category. The fold of its screen is discreet and it offers an interface that correctly uses its format. Apart from a very ambitious launch price and the absence of waterproof certification, there is little to complain about this smartphone which will not steal its place in the circle of premium models.

Alternatively

Massive and resolutely intended for an informed target, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 more or less maintains the results of the Galaxy Z Fold 3. It is equipped with two beautiful screens – the discreet fold of its interior panel not really being a problem – and ensures high performance. Its software is adapted to uses undoubtedly geared more towards productivity than towards entertainment. However, it is its design, now mature – before, we hope, a complete overhaul with the release of a Galaxy Z Fold 5 – which justifies its high price. Because if it improves the performance of the Z Fold 3 in terms of photography and even autonomy, it is all in all discreetly, and without really matching the most upscale monobloc smartphones on the market. But if carrying a folding tablet with you always requires compromises, these have the merit of fading over the years, and this smartphone remains one of the most interesting models for professionals.
