Less than 2 weeks before the official release of the game scheduled for January 28, 2022 and exclusively on Nintendo Switch, Pokémon Legends: Arceus has just revealed itself more through a video.
The adventure takes place in the region of Hisui, ancestor of Sinnoh. You roam the region at a time when cohabitation in harmony with the Pokémon is not yet done. The region has distinct spaces that have their own characteristics, and you will be able to find Pokémon based on their life preferences (rock, plant, ice, etc…)
During your adventure, it will be important to collect the items you can find, the latter allowing you to craft objects which will be useful to you throughout your adventure. To note that your Pokémon will be able to help you, by breaking rocks for example, by harvesting plants or by dropping objects from trees. In particular, you will have the possibility of crafting your own Pokéballs, in order to expand your team.
To get around the Hisui area, Cerbyllin, Gueriaigle de Hisui and Paragruel will accompany you.
The concept takes up the one already developed on Pokémon Go: Pokémon will spawn based on the time and time you hunt them. Thus, it will be easier to find a water Pokémon when it rains. Also, using berries to distract Pokémon will make catching them easier.
During your exploration, Pokémon’s temperament will be different. While some may ignore or run away from you, others may attack you. If a wild Pokémon goes into “alert state”, then you will need to attack it to capture it. Here we find the mechanisms of Pokémon games, with an interface similar to that developed since the Gameboy. The possibility of using a power or speed attack will influence your attack speed but can allow you to inflict high damage or fast damage. It will take strategy to defeat the toughest Pokémon.

“Jubilife Village”, which seems to become Féli-Cité, will be the operations center. It is from there that you can go on a mission. Here we find a Monster Hunter side to the concept. You have story missions and side missions to help the villagers. You can also customize your character as in most Pokémon games available.

Your adventure in Hisui will also lead you to meet Pokemon Nobles. To defeat them, you will have to use a balm made from their favorite food in addition to weakening them during a fight.
Thus, this new Pokémon Legends: Arceus brings its share of novelty. In addition to repeating the open world experience as in Pokémon Sword and Shield, Trainers will have the opportunity to discover new features.
