Christian Jacob was the guest of Europe 1 this Thursday morning. At the microphone of Dimitri Pavlenko, the President of the Republicans estimated that the Nupes would not have a group in the National Assembly at the end of the second round of the legislative elections because each of the “components of the left explained that he would return in his political family.
Christian Jacob does not believe in the future of Nupes. The coalition of left-wing parties, neck and neck with Emmanuel Macron’s party in the first round of the legislative elections, would indeed only be a “front” alliance, according to the president of the Republicans.
“The history of the PS is not the history of the far left”
“There was this display, but which is a facade display,” says Christian Jacob. “I think there will be no PS group in the National Assembly since each of the components of the left has already explained that he would return to his family and that he would form separate groups”.
A “dynamic” alliance
For Christian Jacob, intergroups “do not exist” in the National Assembly. “I think everyone will go back to their family and that’s why there are facade agreements because there is indeed a political family story in France. We have a story. The story of the PS n It’s not the story of the far left,” he said. The President of the Republicans recognizes, however, that the Nupes is a “dynamic” alliance, which the right will not be inspired by uniting with the far right.
