Shanna Kress announced that one of her twins had Trisomy 21. This Sunday, June 12, she arrived at the hospital to perform the selective termination of pregnancy.

Shanna Kress and Jonathan Matijas announced they were expecting twins in early May. But, only 1 month later, the couple learned that one of their two babies might have trisomy 21, which turned out after the amniocentesis. Indeed, the former reality TV candidate had revealed in an Instagram story on June 10 that one of the babies she was carrying had a 98% chance of having the disease. The couple then made the difficult choice to terminate the pregnancy.

This Sunday, June 12, the two TV candidates then went to the hospital to “a special day” on Sunday, June 12, as described by Shanna Kress in an Instagram story. “We are going to stay one more day, don’t panic for now everything is fine. We will keep you informed quickly again thank you all for your messages”she then explained after posting two photos of her lying in her hospital bed with her companion sitting on a chair by her side.

Shanna Kress responds to criticism of her pregnancy termination

It is Friday, June 10 in a video, that Shanna Kress had entrusted : “We asked the doctor to terminate the pregnancy of the baby with Down syndrome”, before adding: “It’s difficult, but it’s our choice. It was therefore necessary to sign a document and it will be necessary to keep the two children until the delivery”.

But, many Internet users seem to criticize her choice since the 35-year-old young woman ranted on social networks after this announcement, declaring: “If you consider yourself better, if you think you would have acted differently, if you find fault instead of sharing our pain… So don’t waste your precious time wasting ours. Obviously your infinite virtue deserves that you shower the rest of the world with your wise kindness”.

She ended by stating: “So please don’t linger any longer under our photos and videos, what we are going through is difficult enough to also have to manage your malevolence. Even if what we live tears our hearts, we remain lucky and we proudly thank life”.
