Released on May 17 in early access, V Rising has already exceeded 2.5 million copies sold. And if the pace has slowed somewhat lately, the survival game still deserves to be enriched with brand new content. This is why Stunlock Studios has decided to take stock of the updates already expected.
Unfortunately, contrary to what was initially planned, the first content update will not take place this year and has already been postponed to 2023, without further details on the date. The reason given is the same as for most postponements. The team of developers first and foremost wants to have all the time necessary to consolidate the basics of the game, which we remember is still in early access, before embarking on new content.
A major yes, but for what?
For now, little information on what this first big update will contain, but the studio promises that it will be massive. There should therefore be enough to do between the new features and the added content.
Among the improvements announced by the full release of V Rising, we should find new options for building and modifying the castle, with the added bonus of the possible addition of several floors. The servant system should also be entitled to some new features, without further details.
On the gameplay side, the developers are also working on a recurring request from players, namely the addition of new weapons and other vampire destruction abilities. Enough to enrich the game in both PvP and PvE.
Finally, another novelty to come and not least, a brand new biome is currently in preparation. On the program, this new area to explore should reserve more enemies and bosses to fight but should also stand out from existing regions. The studio wants the new biome to bring a renewal to the map, both in its visuals and in the gameplay that will be offered there.
It is noted that the studio is also considering adding control support. A new stage which could mean, in the long term, a possible porting on consoles.
