With rescue to the hospital – tobogganist seriously injured when overturning on the slope

Fatal tobogganing accident on Sunday evening in the Tyrolean lowlands: A 19-year-old German left the illuminated toboggan run in Thiersee (Kufstein district) and wanted to drive the last stretch to the parking lot on the ski slope. After a fall, the woman rolled over several times – she suffered serious injuries.

According to the police, the young woman first left the Kala Alm with fellow students via the illuminated toboggan run to Gasthof Schneeberg in Thiersee. She then wanted to drive the last stretch to the parking lot on the non-illuminated ski slope. Shortly thereafter, the 19-year-old missed a hill, lost her footing, fell and rolled over several times. With rescue to the hospital, the German suffered serious injuries in the area of ​​her thoracic vertebrae. After first aid at the scene of the accident, she was taken to Kufstein Hospital by ambulance.
