Kate Middleton and Prince William have lead the tributes to the Queen on her 94th birthday as the nation celebrates in lockdown.
The Duke and Duchess paid tribute to the monarch as she marks her birthday without the celebratory without the usual gun salute while in lockdown at Windsor Castle.
Prince William and his wife took to the Kensington Palace Twitter account to share a photo of them with the Queen at the Chelsea Flower Show last year to mark her special day.

The post read: “Wishing Her Majesty The Queen a very happy 94th Birthday today!,” followed by a cake and balloon emoji.
Clarence House also shared a message from the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall for the birthday of Charles’ mother, reading: “Wishing Her Majesty The Queen a very Happy 94th Birthday.”
It comes after the Queen’s usual birthday plans were scrapped due to the coronavirus pandemic.
A royal source revealed that the traditional royal gun salute would be “inappropriate” due to the current crisis and she will instead celebrate by having private video calls with family members.
Trooping the Colour, which is usually held in mid-June to mark the official celebration of Her Majesty’s birthday, has also been cancelled.
As well as the Queen, Kate and William’s son and daughter, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte, are also due to celebrate birthdays while in lockdown.

The Queen is said to be keen to ensure little Louis, who turns two on April 23, and Charlotte, who will be five on May 2, still have fun on their big days.
According to reports, the monarch has become “tech-savvy” in recent weeks due to the coronavirus crisis and will celebrate the day using a special video conference.
It’s believed that the younger members of the royal family, including Prince George and his siblings, have already been sending videos to their grandparents and great grandparents in recent weeks.

Royal expert Angela Mollard told the ROYALS podcast: “So little Prince Louis is turning two on April 23. Then Charlotte turns five on May 2.
“So, within a week and a bit of each other two of them will be having birthdays. Obviously, they won’t be able to have friends over.
“Knowing Kate, she would have a whole schedule of party type things to do.”
