Vin Diesel in an Instagram post begs for the return of Dwayne Johnson for the tenth installment of the “Fast & Furious” action franchise.

At least since “Fast and Furious 8” there has been a break between broadcasting Vin Diesel (54) and Dwayne Johnson (49). Johnson was absent from Part 9 and never made a secret of the fact that it was due to Diesel’s unprofessional attitude towards his colleagues. But slowly the two-part finale of the auto action saga is approaching – and Diesel holds out his hand in public. He puts the competitor with one open letter on Instagram under pressure – but without linking it.

Diesel brings guilty conscience to children and Paul Walker

Diesel pulls out all the stops in his petition to make Dwayne Johnson feel guilty. First he reminds his “little brother” that his children call him “Uncle Dwayne” and sends him greetings every Christmas – and he doesn’t answer.

Then Diesel brings Paul Walker, who died in an accident in 2013 and whom he calls “Pablo”, into play. He promised his deceased friend that he would make the last “Fast & Furious” the best ever. For the furious finale, Diesel, who has also been producing the series since Part 4, needs Johnson in the role of Luke Hobbs. No one else could play the agent and bounty hunter.

Diesel plays the ball in Johnson’s field: “You have to show up, don’t let the franchise down,” he writes. Alluding to Walker’s legacy, he adds: “I hope you will take the opportunity and meet your destiny”.

Dwayne Johnson has not yet responded publicly to the offer to talk. With “Hobbs & Shaw” Johnson now has his own offshoot of “Fast & Furious” – but without diesel.
