Discover the major event of the FUT season with Team Of The Year, TOTY (The team of the year in French) whose release date we already know and part of the list of players nominated to vote on FIFA 22. It is a great classic on FUT, since it has been present for almost a decade on FIFA. TOTY cards reward players who achieved the best sporting year in 2021, via a nomination from EA and then a fan vote. The maps are often some of the best of the season in FUT mode, with players having no comparison possible until TOTS in May.
Update : Updated Thursday January 6 at 11 p.m. If the first leaks evoke the start of the event on January 21, the vote should start on January 10 according to EA.
Vote for TOTY 2021 cards
The Team of The Year system has been the same for years as EA compiles a list of nominated players before letting fans vote. We now know the first modalities since the list of players will be revealed from Friday January 7 with a start of voting on Monday January 10.

- Forwards on January 7
- Mid January 8
- Defenders January 9
List of TOTY cards
TOTY cards will be limited, with some exceptions. Thus, a type 11 will be released based on the vote of fans and journalists while an additional card is generally available, again via a player vote. In addition, players who are nominated but not winners of the vote will have a special TOTY Nominated card, which is worse than a real TOTY, but generally very strong. DCEs will also be available during this special period.

Normally this promo event should be several weeks with a first week linked to voting, a second with nominated cards and finally, a week during which TOTY cards are available. It is estimated that TOTY cards will be available January 21-28.
