Thomas Hayo will support Heidi Klum on the jury
Thomas Hayo, 53, celebrates his comeback on “Germany’s Next Top Model”. Last year he supported the candidates in preparing for their castings. In 2022 he will play an even more important role and will stand by model mom Heidi Klum, 48, as a guest juror.

GNTM starts today! The season opener is so emotionally charged and full of tears
31 candidates are competing in “Germany’s Next Top Model” this year. It is a cast that impresses with its diversity and creates excitement among the fans even before the start. Excitement that is justified, because as impressions of the first episode already show, this season will be emotional, stirring, heated and even dramatic. Falls, tears and arguments are not long in coming with so many different participants…
While some of the young up-and-coming models switch straight into competition mode and cause stress right from the start, a completely different emotion boils up in the best-ager models Lieselotte, 66, and Barbara, 68: humility. The two women just can’t believe that they can actually be part of GNTM. For Lieselotte, a dream comes true that brings tears to her eyes. “It feels great,” says himself while crying into the camera. As the 66-year-old reveals, it’s not the first time her feelings have overwhelmed her. “I cried with joy and humility when I found out that I was allowed to be there,” said the pensioner. Emotions that Barbara can understand well. For them, too, a lifelong wish was realized just by taking part. “Being able to experience that at my age does an awful lot to you. Martina, Lieselotte and Barbara fascinate the GNTM fans even before the show starts
The 17th season of “Germany’s Next Top Model” starts on Thursday, February 3, 2022. The candidates selected by Heidi Klum, 48, are already causing a lot of conversation on social media. GNTM candidate Lenara: “There has never been an optical guy like me anyway”
It took 24-year-old Lenara a long time to love herself and her body. Now she wants to prove it to the whole world and, above all, to strengthen the self-confidence of young women.
